Bluefin

Bluefin takes Fedora Silverblue's immutable rpm-ostree foundation and adds everything a specific target user -- developers and PC gamers -- would otherwise spend hours configuring themselves: NVIDIA driver images built in, Homebrew pre-integrated for CLI package installs without touching the immutable base, a curated set of developer tools available via containerized 'devcontainers', and gaming-friendly defaults. It's part of the broader Universal Blue project, which builds several Silverblue-based images (Bluefin for general desktop/dev use, Aurora for a KDE Plasma equivalent, and gaming-focused images) all sharing the same underlying atomic-update infrastructure and automated image-building pipeline. It's become one of the most visible examples of the 'custom atomic image' trend that's grown up around Fedora's Silverblue/OSTree tooling since 2023.
