Diese Anleitung basiert auf der offiziellen Dokumentation von Home Assistant, oben verlinkt — überprüfe dort immer die genauen Paket-/Versionsnamen, bevor du diese Befehle auf einem Produktionsserver ausführst, da sich Distributions- und Projektversionen mit der Zeit ändern.

  1. 1Choose your install method

    Home Assistant OS (a full, dedicated appliance image) is the officially recommended method and is what the VM images below provide — it gets automatic updates and add-on support that a plain Docker container doesn't. Use Docker instead only if this server already runs other things you don't want a dedicated appliance OS to take over.

  2. 2Official pre-built VM images

    Home Assistant OS ships ready-made images for VirtualBox (OVA) and most major hypervisors, plus Raspberry Pi and generic x86-64 images.

  3. 3Alternative: Docker container

    docker run -d --name homeassistant --privileged --restart=unless-stopped -e TZ=Etc/UTC -v /PATH_TO_YOUR_CONFIG:/config --network=host ghcr.io/home-assistant/home-assistant:stable

    Replace /PATH_TO_YOUR_CONFIG with a real directory on the host — this is where all your automations and settings persist.

  4. 4Finish setup

    Open http://your-server-ip:8123 and follow the onboarding wizard.
