Diese Anleitung basiert auf der offiziellen Dokumentation von Prometheus, oben verlinkt — überprüfe dort immer die genauen Paket-/Versionsnamen, bevor du diese Befehle auf einem Produktionsserver ausführst, da sich Distributions- und Projektversionen mit der Zeit ändern.

  1. 1Download the latest release

    Check the official downloads page for the current version number and correct architecture before running this.

  2. 2Extract and run

    tar xvfz prometheus-*.tar.gz
    cd prometheus-*/
    ./prometheus --config.file=prometheus.yml

    For a permanent setup, run this as a systemd service rather than in a foreground terminal — the official docs' "Running as a service" section covers the unit file.

  3. 3Open the UI

    http://your-server-ip:9090 — this is also the endpoint Grafana points at as a data source.
