MacOS Ventura's headline feature was Stage Manager, a window-management mode that automatically groups and arranges open windows to the side of the screen, aimed at users juggling many apps at once. It also introduced Continuity Camera, letting an iPhone act as a high-quality webcam for a Mac wirelessly or via a physical mount. Four major versions now stand between it and current MacOS, meaning it has very likely aged out of Apple's active security-update window (Apple typically only patches the current and two prior major versions) -- a real practical reason to check Apple's own security-releases page before continuing to rely on Ventura for anything security-sensitive.
