CClauncher

CClauncher is an open-source launcher for Android. It is designed for users who want a simpler home-screen experience and fewer distractions from the apps installed on their device. Instead of showing applications by default, it keeps them hidden until the user searches for one.

Apps can be found by swiping up and typing their names, which makes the launcher focused on deliberate access rather than constant visibility. CClauncher includes screen time tracking as a digital wellbeing tool. It also supports double-tapping to lock the screen and customizable swipe-left, swipe-right, swipe-up, and swipe-down shortcuts. Users can rename apps, hide them, and choose plain black or white wallpapers.

The launcher can be configured by long-pressing an empty area to open its settings. Double-tap locking is enabled through Android’s Accessibility settings. Renaming duplicate-named apps can make them easier to identify and launch. CClauncher is a modern rewrite of Clauncher using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, while retaining its minimal approach and adding the listed functionality.

As an Android Launcher, CClauncher operates at the part of the platform responsible for presenting and accessing applications. It has no ads, no tracking, and no internet permission, making privacy a central part of its design.
