LibreSudoku

LibreSudoku is an open-source Sudoku game for Android. It supports 9x9, 6x6, and 12x12 boards, with four difficulty levels for each supported game type. The app is intended for people who want to solve Sudoku puzzles on an Android device using adjustable play and checking options.

Players can enter digits using either a digit-first or cell-first input method. Pencil marks, undo, pause, board reset, and give up controls support different stages of a puzzle, with give up showing the solution. Mistake checking can either detect violations of the game rules or compare the completed board with the final solution. On 12x12 boards, users can zoom and pan the board to work with its larger layout.

LibreSudoku records best and average times, win streaks, started and completed game counts, and win rate. Uncompleted games are saved so they can be continued later. Settings and customization options include automatic note removal, remaining uses, highlighting of identical numbers, and app themes. Users can create custom Sudoku puzzles manually or from a string, using the supported 9x9, 6x6, or 12x12 formats. Tutorials for game techniques are included as an in-progress feature.
