Open Hitomi

Open Hitomi is an open-source application for Android in the Developer Tools category. It provides an assistant-oriented interface that combines several local and connected utilities. The application is intended for users who want configurable tool access within one Android title rather than a fixed standalone chat screen.

The app includes an in-app browser window for visible browsing and readback. It also provides optional Termux integration, allowing local shell-style commands to be used through the same assistant-oriented tool. A local Solana wallet display tool is included for viewing wallet-related information on the device.

For local model use, Open Hitomi supports an Ollama-compatible endpoint, including an address such as http://127.0.0.1:11434. It checks the local server for installed models and uses the first available model, while entered connection details are stored locally on the device. Users can instead enter an xAI API key in the same configuration field, with local endpoints supported first and an optional external provider available as a second route.

MirrorNest distributes the official Open Hitomi build directly from its own storage. The mirrored build is scanned for malware before it is published. This gives Android users a direct download source while preserving the application’s open-source licensing and Developer Tools classification.
