Rust DICOM Station

Load complete DICOM studies with CT, MR, and PET series, plus RTSTRUCT, RTDOSE, photon and ion RTPLAN, DICOM SEG, planar images, registrations, and treatment records. Rust DICOM Station links axial, sagittal, and coronal views, supports comparison of two datasets, and provides rigid or deformable registration, structure propagation, digitally reconstructed radiographs, dose-volume histograms, and 4D motion analysis.

Users can segment manually or with AI assistance, including Rust implementations of TotalSegmentator, SegVol, and MedSAM2 with Vulkan-based GPU acceleration. The software also includes a 3D view, local patient archive, DICOM editing, anonymization, and export tools.

Its MCP server, rust-dicom-station.rds-mcp, lets an AI assistant operate the software’s tools. Model weights are placed in the application’s data directory on first use, while access to folders outside the home directory requires a removable-media connection command. Rust DICOM Station is Linux research software, not a medical device, and it is neither CE-marked nor FDA-cleared.
