Trinity (TDE), KDE Plasma

Q4OS's default desktop, Trinity (TDE), is a community-maintained continuation of the KDE 3.x codebase, giving it a leaner resource footprint and a distinctly different interface philosophy than modern KDE Plasma while still being a full-featured desktop rather than a stripped-down window manager. It ships a 'Desktop Profiler' tool at first boot that lets a new user quickly pick an interface style (classic, modern, tablet-like) and install common applications with a couple of clicks. A separate Plasma edition is also offered for users who want Q4OS's Debian-based stability and hardware-friendliness with a current KDE desktop instead of Trinity.
