DesktopTileLauncher es una utilidad de Windows de código abierto para crear baldosas de escritorio que abren URLs. Está destinado a personas que quieren acceso directo a los destinos web desde su escritorio de Windows. Cada ficha puede estar asociada a un navegador elegido y perfil del navegador, permitiendo que la misma URL se abra en el contexto seleccionado por el usuario.
La función principal es la creación de baldosas de lanzamiento para direcciones web. Cuando se utiliza una baldosa, abre la URL asignada a través del navegador y perfil seleccionados. Esto hace que la aplicación sea adecuada para los usuarios que mantienen diferentes contextos de navegación y quieren una manera sencilla de iniciar un destino web en particular en el apropiado.
DesktopTileLauncher no utiliza la telemetría. Su única actividad de red es la actividad del navegador causada por una URL que el usuario lanza. Por lo tanto, la aplicación se ajusta a la categoría de utilidad de escritorio de Windows como un lanzador enfocado para los destinos basados en el navegador en lugar de como un propio navegador web.
MirrorNest distribuye el edificio oficial directamente desde su propio almacenamiento. La construcción reflejada se escanea para el malware antes de que se publique, proporcionando una ruta de distribución para los lectores que buscan la versión de Windows. Su licencia de código abierto también coloca el software en la sección de código abierto del catálogo manteniendo su plataforma primaria y el caso de uso claramente ligado a Windows.
