RepoStore

RepoStore is an open-source Android application in the Developer Tools category. It turns GitHub releases into a structured app catalog rather than requiring users to browse repository pages directly. It is intended for Android users looking for installable applications distributed through GitHub releases.

The home screen includes Trending, Recently Updated, and Featured sections. RepoStore lists only repositories that contain valid APK assets in their releases. It selects the newest release for each repository and provides a single Install action for its available assets. Each project has a details screen with its name, version, stars, forks, language statistics, rendered README, formatted release notes, and screenshot gallery. The app tracks installations, identifies available updates, and changes the action to Open for installed applications.

RepoStore supports English, Hindi, Hinglish, and Marathi, with a searchable dialog for choosing a language. Its interface uses Material 3, dynamic theming, and dark mode. Optional GitHub sign-in raises the API limit from 60 to 5,000 requests per hour. The application has no tracking, analytics, or advertising, uses HTTPS-only connections, and is available under the MIT open-source license.

RepoStore requires Android 8.0 or later and an internet connection. It uses GitHub’s public API to find Android repositories and release APKs, while installations are obtained from release assets. On MirrorNest, the official build is mirrored directly onto the platform’s storage and scanned for malware before publication.
