SaleEvents is an open-source desktop client for Linux in the Business category. It is designed for discovering and browsing sale events, discount promotions, and shopping offers in a dedicated application rather than through standard browser tabs. The software brings a global aggregation layout to the Linux desktop and supports shopping information across multiple regions.

The client provides access to 12 localized markets: the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Malta, Singapore, the Philippines, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Users can switch between these markets to view region-specific promotions and offers. Content is available in English, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese for the supported regions. SaleEvents runs in its own desktop window, providing a separate space for browsing offers. Its infrastructure includes progressive web capabilities, with optimized asset loading and efficient memory management for hardware-accelerated rendering. These elements support a native-like desktop experience while retaining the distributed regional structure described for the service.

MirrorNest distributes the official SaleEvents build directly from its own storage. Each mirrored build is scanned for malware before publication, giving Linux users a reviewed distribution source within the catalog. The open-source license allows the software to be used as an open-source Business application on Linux.
