Linux Kodachi is built for people who want strong default privacy without manually configuring Tor, a VPN, or DNS encryption themselves: on boot it automatically connects through a VPN and then Tor, encrypts DNS traffic, and offers a panic-key feature and other anti-forensic touches aimed at making a session hard to reconstruct afterward. It runs as a live system (USB or DVD) and leaves the underlying hard drive untouched unless explicitly installed, similar in spirit to Tails but with a heavier, more automated privacy stack layered on by default. It's maintained by a single independent developer rather than a large team, which is worth weighing against a project like Tails' broader audited codebase for genuinely high-risk use cases.
