Parrot OS

Parrot OS covers much of the same ground as Kali Linux -- a large bundled toolkit for penetration testing, digital forensics, and reverse engineering -- but is built with a lighter resource footprint in mind and a 'Home Edition' explicitly meant for daily use, browsing, and privacy rather than security work alone. It includes an 'Anonsurf' mode that routes all system traffic through Tor with one command, and ships sandboxed applications (via Firejail) more aggressively than Kali does by default. Developed by an Italian-led international team, it's a common alternative for users who want Kali's tool catalog without dedicating a machine solely to security testing.
