Ce guide est élaboré à partir de la documentation officielle de OpenMediaVault, dont le lien figure ci-dessus — vérifiez toujours les noms exacts des paquets/versions avant d'exécuter ces commandes sur un serveur de production, car les versions de la distribution et du projet évoluent avec le temps.

  1. 1Download the installer ISO

  2. 2Write it to a USB drive and boot from it

    Follow the Debian-based text installer -- disk, network, and admin account setup.

    sudo dd if=openmediavault_*.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=1M status=progress conv=fsync

  3. 3Open the web UI

    http://<the-server's-ip>

    Default login is admin / openmediavault on first boot -- change it immediately under General Settings.

  4. 4Create a filesystem and shared folder

    Under Storage > File Systems, mount your data disk, then create a Shared Folder on it before exposing it via the SMB/NFS services.
