À propos
kompare is an open-source graphical front-end for viewing and merging differences between source files. It is designed for comparing individual files as well as the contents of folders. Folder comparisons can be performed recursively, allowing differences in nested directories to be examined as part of the same comparison.
The program supports a variety of diff formats for presenting file changes. It also provides options for customizing the level of information shown, so users can adjust how much comparison detail is displayed. These functions make kompare suitable for reviewing changes in source files and directory contents within development work.
kompare can create patches from identified differences and apply existing patches. This supports workflows in which changes need to be recorded, shared, or introduced into files. Its graphical interface presents these comparison and patch operations as part of a developer tool rather than as a purely command-line process.
The Linux version belongs to the Developer Tools category and is distributed as open-source software. MirrorNest mirrors the official kompare build directly on its own storage. Before publishing it, MirrorNest scans the mirrored build for malware, giving Linux users a catalog-based way to obtain this software.
