Let Me Downgrade

Let Me Downgrade is an open-source Android system tool for changing how app version downgrades are handled. Android normally prevents installation of an older app version when a newer version is already installed. This Xposed module is intended to bypass that restriction on Android 12 through Android 17.

The app includes a Status screen that shows whether app downgrades are currently allowed or blocked. A switch on that screen lets the user turn the downgrade-related hook on or off at any time. An optional App Downgrades Quick Settings tile provides faster access and mirrors the same on or off state as the in-app switch.

Let Me Downgrade is intended for rooted devices and requires Xposed, specifically an LSPosed build with API 101 support. Other Xposed variants will not work, and the device must be rooted with Magisk or KernelSU. Setup involves installing LSPosed and the module, activating the module in the LSPosed interface, rebooting the device, and then opening Let Me Downgrade from the launcher.

The module cannot be guaranteed to work on every device, and in the worst case it can cause a bootloop, so it is used at the owner’s risk.
