À propos
Whatsie - WhatsApp for Linux is an open-source desktop application for using WhatsApp on Linux. It belongs to the Communication category and is intended for users who want a Linux-based interface for their WhatsApp conversations.
The application supports light, dark, and system themes, as well as display scaling and zoom controls. Desktop notifications can show contact avatars, while system tray integration provides an unread message badge, mute controls, and Do Not Disturb options. Files can be attached by dragging them into the application or pasting them, and a built-in download manager keeps a history of downloads. Spell checking is available for multiple languages.
Optional privacy controls include a passcode-protected app lock, automatic locking, and a privacy blur that hides message text and media until they are hovered over. Per-site permissions manage access to the camera, microphone, and location, and HTTP and SOCKS5 proxies can be used with authentication. The application can start at login, open minimized to the system tray, and support keyboard shortcuts for common actions. Bug reports can include diagnostic information without exposing message content.
Whatsie is distributed for Linux as open-source software under the MIT License. MirrorNest stores the official build directly on its own servers and scans it for malware before publishing, giving Linux users a catalog-based way to obtain the application.
