Backgammon Clock

Backgammon Clock is an open-source Android app for two players sharing one phone during a backgammon game. It combines a move timer with scorekeeping for individual games and multi-point matches. The main screen shows the active player’s remaining time or delay, and tapping that player’s side ends the turn and starts the opponent’s clock.

Players can set the match length to 1, 3, 5, 7, or other odd point totals through 29. Reserve time per point can be selected in 15-second increments, while the free delay for each turn can be set in one-second increments without carrying over. The app supports five colour schemes, optional sounds for turn changes and time limits, and pause and play controls. It continuously displays the move count and current score, lets players record the result through the central score control, and allows clock adjustments from the score sheet. A reset requires two presses within two seconds, reducing the chance of resetting a match accidentally.

The clocks remain at their current times when a game score is entered, and the app restores the last known timings and scores after a crash or forced quit. The display stays awake while playing. Backgammon Clock requires no permissions and includes no network access, analytics, accounts, or ads; its clock is contained in a single HTML file within the app. It is categorized under Games for Android, and MirrorNest stores the official build directly on its own storage after scanning it for malware before publication.
