Flash Custom ROMs and Generic System Images on Android devices through a GTK interface, without handling the ADB and Fastboot processes from a terminal. fastboot-assistant detects connected devices through ADB or Fastboot, displays detailed device information, and can switch them into fastboot, download, or recovery mode.
It can unlock or relock the bootloader, erase user or system data, change the active boot slot, and manage partitions such as boot, system, and vendor. Select a folder to flash all its contained images in one step; the program also renames .img files correctly to reduce typing errors. Device backups can be made with root access or through Open Android Backup, and built-in step-by-step instructions explain each operation.
fastboot-assistant runs on Linux with snapd and supports x86_64 (amd64) systems. It is open-source, published by Elias Mörz, and its current version is 0.8.1.9.
