HOPE 26

HOPE 26 is an open-source Android app for the program of the 2026 Hackers On Planet Earth conference. The conference is scheduled for August 14–16, 2026, at the New Yorker Hotel in Midtown Manhattan. The app gives conference participants a structured way to review talks, workshops, presentations, villages, and other program items.

Its program view organizes sessions by day and room, with a side-by-side display for comparing the schedule. Detailed session pages can show speaker names, start times, room names, and links. Search and filtering help users locate sessions, while favorites provide a personal shortlist. Favorites can be exported, individual sessions can trigger alarms, and sessions can be added to a personal calendar. Users can also share a website link for a session and follow program changes. Automatic program updates can be configured in the settings.

HOPE 26 includes a custom grid layout for smartphones and tablets, including a landscape-oriented presentation option. It also integrates with the Engelsystem project, an online tool for coordinating helpers and shifts at large events. The application supports Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, German (Austria), Italian, Japanese, Lithuanian, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, European Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish. Session descriptions are excluded from that language-support scope.
