Reddinator

Reddinator is an open-source Android widget for viewing content from the Reddit website. It fits the Forum category by placing subreddit feeds in a compact widget that can be checked without opening a separate browsing interface. Users can display any Reddit subreddit and configure each widget around the communities they follow.

Subreddits can be selected from popular choices or found through search, then saved to a My Subreddits list for easier access. Each feed supports different sorting types, including hot and popular, and can be reloaded when the user wants updated items. The feed can also load more items beyond the initial set.

Reddinator supports multiple widgets, allowing each one to show a different subreddit and sorting type. Thumbnail display is configurable for each widget, including the position of the thumbnail, and post information can be hidden when a more compact presentation is preferred. When an item is selected, the user can choose to open the combined Reddinator view, the item's content page, or its Reddit page.

The combined Reddinator view places the item's content and its Reddit comments page in a tabbed layout, so the article and community discussion can be accessed together. As an Android application, Reddinator is suited to users who want subreddit feeds available directly through their device's widget interface.
