Fedora Kinoite

Kinoite mirrors Silverblue's entire architecture -- a read-only base image, atomic updates applied on reboot, Flatpak as the default application format, toolbox containers for CLI development work -- but ships KDE Plasma as the desktop instead of GNOME, for users who want Fedora's immutable-OS model without giving up Plasma's more traditional, configurable interface. It's part of Fedora's small family of 'atomic desktops' (alongside Silverblue, Fedora Sericea for Sway, and others), all sharing the same rpm-ostree foundation and differing only in which desktop ships on top. As with Silverblue, it particularly suits users who want strong resilience against a broken update at some cost to traditional package-level flexibility.
