GeckoLinux

GeckoLinux takes plain openSUSE (both Leap and Tumbleweed) and does the out-of-box polishing many new users expect but openSUSE's strict European legal posture won't let it ship directly: proprietary media codecs, common browser plugins, and pre-applied desktop tweaks for a more finished feel. It offers both a 'Static' edition tracking Leap's stability and a 'Rolling' edition tracking Tumbleweed, across a wide choice of desktop environments picked at download time rather than install time. It's a one-person community project rather than an SUSE product, but it stays close enough to stock openSUSE that its repositories remain fully compatible with the official ones.
