Cockpit

Cockpit is a lightweight, browser-based admin console for managing a single Linux server — services, storage, networking, logs, and terminal access — using your normal system login.

このガイドは上記リンク先にあるCockpit公式ドキュメントをもとに作成されています。ディストリビューションやプロジェクトのバージョンは時間とともに変わるため、本番サーバーでこれらのコマンドを実行する前に、必ず公式ドキュメントで正確なパッケージ名・バージョン名を確認してください。

  1. 1Install on Debian / Ubuntu

    . /etc/os-release
    sudo apt install -t ${VERSION_CODENAME}-backports cockpit

    The package enables and starts the service automatically.

  2. 2Install on Fedora

    sudo dnf install cockpit
    sudo systemctl enable --now cockpit.socket

  3. 3Install on RHEL

    sudo yum install cockpit
    sudo systemctl enable --now cockpit.socket

  4. 4Open the firewall (Fedora/RHEL)

    sudo firewall-cmd --add-service=cockpit
    sudo firewall-cmd --add-service=cockpit --permanent

  5. 5Log in

    Open https://ip-address:9090 and sign in with your normal system user account and password.
