qBittorrent (headless, Web UI)

  1. 1Run the LinuxServer.io image

    This community-maintained image is the standard way to run qBittorrent headless with its Web UI exposed.

    docker run -d \ --name qbittorrent \ -e PUID=1000 -e PGID=1000 -e TZ=Etc/UTC \ -e WEBUI_PORT=8080 \ -p 8080:8080 -p 6881:6881 -p 6881:6881/udp \ -v ./qbittorrent/config:/config \ -v ./downloads:/downloads \ --restart unless-stopped \ lscr.io/linuxserver/qbittorrent:latest

  2. 2Find the auto-generated temporary password

    On first start, check the container logs for a randomly generated password for the default 'admin' account.

    docker logs qbittorrent | grep -i password

  3. 3Log in and change the password immediately

    Open the Web UI and change the default credentials right away from Tools > Options > Web UI.

    http://your-server-ip:8080

    Only download and share content you have the legal right to -- torrenting itself is a neutral protocol, but what you use it for is your responsibility.
