Alembicons

Alembicons is an open-source Android application for creating icon packs and adapting application icons. It is the companion application for Arcticons and can also be used to extend Arcticons or another icon pack. The project was formerly known as Iconeration.

Users can obtain an icon from an existing icon pack and process an application icon with path tracing based on Color Quantization. Canny edge detection provides another way to derive an icon from the application icon. An application name can be turned into text using the Arcticons OTF font. The resulting icon color can be selected by the user.

When available, Alembicons can use the vector version of an application icon. It can also use the monochrome version when one is available. Users can export icons as themed icons, import an image for a specific application, and create or edit the application's icon vector.
