Drift // Audio is an open-source ambient soundscape mixer for Android in the Music & Audio category. It is intended for people who want to combine background sounds for rest, sleep, or quiet listening. The app works offline, so its sound mixing does not require network access after installation.

Users can layer any number of nature and deep-space recordings and set each layer to an independent volume. Available sounds include rain, flowing water, fire, wind, thunder, plasma waves, Martian wind, and a vast singing sound. Built-in presets provide ready-made combinations, while users can save, recall, and delete their own mixes.

A sleep timer can fade the mix after 15, 30, 60, or 90 minutes. Drift supports background playback with lock-screen and notification media controls, and it includes voicing options for a phone speaker, external speakers, or headphones. The interface supports live theme switching and is designed so that state is not shown through colour alone, including support for colourblind-safe use.

Drift has no ads, tracking, or account requirement. It is free software under the MIT licence, and its field recordings are available under CC0 or in the public domain, with attribution provided through the Credits menu and project repository.
