Petals: Cannabis Use Tracker

Petals: Cannabis Use Tracker is an Android application for recording and understanding cannabis use. It is intended for people who want to quit, take a tolerance break, reduce their use gradually, or simply review their consumption. The app presents usage information without setting a required pace or outcome.

Users can log sessions with the amount in grams, cost per gram, date, time, and consumption method, including smoking, vaporizing, edibles, or another method. It shows the time since the last use and tracks spending for the current day, the current week, and the overall history. Statistics and graphs organize usage over time, including patterns by hour of day and day of week. A home screen widget provides a one-tap way to add a use.

Petals can set a minimum interval between sessions and record pause periods for tolerance breaks or stopping completely. It also allows users to track withdrawal symptoms such as irritability, restlessness, sleep difficulty, anxiety, decreased appetite, and discomfort. The app provides estimated THC concentration after the last use and estimated timeframes for urine, blood, saliva, and hair tests to come back clean, with cited sources. Built-in harm reduction information provides additional context for making less risky choices.

The app keeps data on the device and does not require an account, cloud storage, or analytics, while a personal PIN can restrict access. Users can export and import their information as plain CSV files. As an open-source Android Habit Tracker, Petals is free and licensed under the AGPL-3.0.
