blendOS

blendOS combines an immutable Arch Linux base with a system for running fully containerized 'blends' of other distributions side by side -- so a user could run an Ubuntu-packaged app, a Fedora-packaged app, and an AUR package all on the same machine, each isolated from the others and from the immutable base, without needing to actually install any of those distributions. It's a genuinely unusual take on the immutable-OS concept: most immutable distributions (Silverblue, MicroOS, Vanilla OS) push users toward Flatpak specifically, while blendOS instead embraces running each distribution's native packages inside its own container. It's a newer, smaller, more experimental project than the Fedora- or openSUSE-backed immutable distributions, appealing to users curious about that specific cross-distro-container model.
