Regata OS is developed by a Brazilian team on top of openSUSE, an uncommon base for a gaming-focused distribution compared to the more typical Arch or Fedora foundations most other entries in this category use. Its centerpiece is the Regata OS Store, a curated storefront for installing games and creative applications with descriptions and screenshots baked in, alongside out-of-the-box Vulkan support and integrations like Google Drive access aimed at content creators as well as pure gamers. It ships KDE Plasma by default and supports both Portuguese and English, reflecting its origin and primary user base in Brazil's sizable gaming community.
