AddisMapTransit

AddisMapTransit is an open-source Android application in the Navigation & Travel category. It helps users find travel routes in Addis Ababa using Anbessa Bus, Sheger Bus, Minibus, and Lightrail services. The app also provides route options for travel by car.

When several routes can reach the same destination, users can compare the available alternatives. Coverage for the listed transport services is still being completed, so the available route information may expand over time. This makes the app useful for people planning public transport journeys as well as those checking possible car routes.

Search supports street names, intersections, and points of interest. Suggested results help users identify destinations, while favorites allow frequently used searches to be saved for later. Users can also store locations such as home and work, and GPS support can show their current position on the map.

The app includes multilingual support, although Amharic support is currently only partial. Its Android format makes it suitable for Android phones and other compatible devices. MirrorNest stores and distributes the official build directly, scans it for malware before publication, and does not provide a separately modified edition; the open-source license also allows the official source and build to be examined and shared under that license.
