Vanilla Music

Vanilla Music is an open-source music player for Android in the Local Media Player category. It provides a simple interface modeled on the stock music player included with Android devices. The app is intended for listening to music through local playback on an Android device.

Users can browse their music by folder instead of relying only on other library views. Vanilla Music also supports queueing tracks for playback and shake-to-skip controls. Because it uses Android system media APIs, it supports the same audio formats as the stock music player.

Vanilla Music is a fork of the Vanilla Music package previously published through F-Droid. The original package is no longer being developed by its author. The earlier version remains in the repository because it supports Android versions below 4.0.3.
