  1. 1Run the official container

    MinIO's own web console runs on a separate port (9001) from the actual S3 API port (9000).

    docker run -d \ --name minio \ -p 9000:9000 -p 9001:9001 \ -e MINIO_ROOT_USER=admin \ -e MINIO_ROOT_PASSWORD=changeme12345 \ -v ./minio/data:/data \ --restart unless-stopped \ minio/minio server /data --console-address ":9001"

  2. 2Open the web console

    Create buckets, manage access keys, and browse objects directly from the browser.

    http://your-server-ip:9001

  3. 3Point any S3-compatible app at it

    Any tool or library that speaks the S3 API (backup tools, self-hosted apps with 'S3-compatible storage' settings, the AWS CLI itself) works against MinIO by just pointing its endpoint URL at your MinIO server instead of AWS.
