Last Launcher

Last Launcher is a minimal, text-only launcher for Android. It presents apps as plain text labels rather than icons or widgets, giving the home screen a simple layout with little visual clutter. It is intended for users who want a fast, straightforward way to open apps.

The home screen supports pinned app shortcuts, while the app drawer provides instant search. A search-only mode allows keyboard-first launching, and the launcher can open an app automatically when only one search result matches. Apps can be renamed, pinned, hidden, or managed through inline actions opened with a long press.

Last Launcher also includes a task list with search, reordering, and swipe-to-remove controls. Its themes include System, Light, Dark, and a pure-black AMOLED option, along with an additional CRT-style theme using scanline effects and a monospace font. Fullscreen mode can hide the status and navigation bars, multiple languages are supported, and the optional double-tap-to-sleep gesture uses Android’s AccessibilityService API without collecting, storing, or transmitting personal or sensitive data.

Last Launcher is free and open-source under the EUPL-1.2 license, with no ads, tracking, or telemetry; user data remains on the device. As an Android System Tools application, MirrorNest mirrors the official build directly on its own storage and scans it for malware before publishing.
