PoseCalib

PoseCalib is an open-source Linux application in the Education category. It guides users through camera calibration by displaying overlays that show target poses. The tool is intended for people who need to perform or learn a camera calibration process.

Its central function is to present pose targets on screen while the user works with a camera. This gives the calibration process a visual reference for the required poses. PoseCalib is an implementation of the work described in “Efficient Pose Selection for Interactive Camera Calibration” by Pavel Rojtberg and Arjan Kuijper, published at the 2018 IEEE International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality.

The camera does not become available automatically after installation. Users must manually grant PoseCalib camera permission through the software center or with the command snap connect posecalib:camera :camera. This permission step is part of setting up the application for use on Linux.
