Wise: International Transfers

Wise: International Transfers is an Android application in the Finance & Shopping category for sending, receiving, spending, and managing money across countries. It supports international money movement in more than 145 countries and more than 45 currencies, although the products available depend on where the user lives. The application is offered under a demo trial license.

Users can send money to more than 70 countries and receive the mid-market exchange rate for each transfer. More than 65% of transfers are described as arriving instantly in under 20 seconds, but transaction speed depends on individual circumstances and may not apply to every transfer. Transfer protection includes two-factor authentication, encryption, and biometric security.

The multi-currency card can be used to spend or withdraw cash in more than 160 countries, with automatic conversion when the local currency is not available. Users can hold 40 currencies, convert between them instantly at the mid-market exchange rate for a low fee, set automatic conversions at selected rates, and receive exchange-rate alerts. The service also provides local account details such as a UK account number and sort code, a European IBAN, and Australian account details, which can be used to receive payments in multiple currencies and set up direct debits.

Business users can use the account to pay invoices and bills, receive money from international clients, and connect supported platforms including Amazon, Stripe, and Xero. The app provides instant push notifications for transactions and lets users freeze or unfreeze the card and update digital card details.
