SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED)

SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop is the paid, commercially supported desktop counterpart to SLES, aimed at organizations that want the same long-term-supported, certified package base on employee workstations that they run on their servers. It's built on the same core as SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, giving IT departments a single vendor and support contract across desktops and servers, along with SUSE's YaST configuration tool for centralized management. It moves far more conservatively than openSUSE Leap or Tumbleweed by design, targeting long-term predictability in regulated or enterprise environments over having the newest software.
