DrawAnywhere

DrawAnywhere is an open-source Android application for drawing over the content currently shown on a screen. It lets users sketch, annotate, and highlight without leaving the underlying app or presentation. The tool is suited to video courses, tutorials, presentations, and other situations where visual marks need to appear directly over displayed material. It belongs to the Photo & Graphics category because its main purpose is creating and manipulating on-screen visual annotations.

Its drawing tools include a freehand pen, rectangle, ellipse, and laser pointer. A pixel eraser is provided, while a stylus button can be used for stroke erasing. The application supports up to 50 steps of undo and redo. The toolbar can use horizontal or vertical layouts, move anywhere after a long-press drag, and automatically dim after three seconds of inactivity. Users can hide the canvas, pass touch events to the app below, or turn off finger drawing for stylus-only operation.

A Quick Settings tile provides a way to toggle the service, and dragging the toolbar to the bottom of the screen closes the app; launching it a second time also closes the service. A brush hover preview appears while drawing, and the settings include options to clear the canvas when it is hidden or keep the canvas closed when the application starts.
