Versioni Windows e MacOS

The previous annual MacOS release — the last version to support Intel-based Macs, and the one that introduced the Liquid Glass visual redesign.

Apple's current MacOS release, and the first to run exclusively on Apple Silicon — every Intel-based Mac is left behind starting with this version.

MacOS 11, the first version to run on Apple Silicon (the original M1 Macs) alongside Intel, and the last version numbered in the classic 10.x-then-11 style before Apple's later year-based renumbering.

MacOS 10.15, the last version to run 32-bit applications and the version that split iTunes into separate Music, Podcasts, and TV apps.

MacOS 10.13, which quietly switched the Mac's underlying filesystem to APFS — still a realistic target for genuinely old (2009-2010) Macs too old for anything newer.

MacOS 10.14, which introduced system-wide Dark Mode and Dynamic Desktop wallpapers — still a common target for 2012-era Macs whose graphics hardware doesn't meet Catalina's Metal requirement.

MacOS 12, which introduced Universal Control (using one keyboard/mouse across a Mac and iPad seamlessly) and SharePlay.

MacOS 15, which introduced iPhone Mirroring (control your iPhone directly from a Mac's screen) and the first wave of Apple Intelligence features.

MacOS 10.12, which introduced Siri to the Mac and Universal Clipboard — one of the older versions Apple's own support article still lists a genuine official download path for.

MacOS 14, which introduced desktop widgets, Game Mode, and Profiles for Safari — released before Apple Intelligence existed as a feature set.

MacOS 13, which introduced Stage Manager for window organization and Continuity Camera (using an iPhone as a Mac webcam).

OS X 10.11, a refinement-focused release over Yosemite (Metal graphics API, System Integrity Protection) — still officially downloadable via Apple's own support article for the oldest supported Macs.

OS X 10.10, which introduced the flat, iOS 7-inspired visual redesign that replaced OS X's older skeuomorphic look — still officially downloadable via Apple's support article for the oldest eligible Macs.
