概要
Just open links in a browser is an Android utility for sending links from other apps to a regular web browser. It is intended for people who prefer not to use the small in-app browser that some Android apps open by default. When an app hands a link to the Android system, this tool passes it to the browser selected by the user.
To use it, set just open links in a browser as the default browser and open it once to choose one of the browsers installed on the device. After that choice is made, system-delivered links are sent to the selected browser. The selected browser can then provide its own bookmarks, logins, and content blocker. The app itself does not load or display web pages.
There are no settings beyond choosing the browser. It has no network access of its own and contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking. It cannot redirect links from apps that draw the page themselves instead of handing the link to the Android system, including examples such as Facebook and Instagram.
The app is listed for Android in the System Tools category because it changes how the operating system routes links between applications. It is open-source software licensed under the GNU General Public License version 3 or later. MirrorNest stores a direct mirror of the official build and scans it for malware before publishing it.
