Rootless Pixel Launcher

Rootless Pixel Launcher is an open-source home-screen replacement for Android. It is designed for users who want a Pixel-like interface that stays close to the Android Open Source Project experience. Its limited scope makes it a focused launcher rather than a general customization suite.

The launcher places its search bar at the bottom of the interface. Its appearance can follow the selected wallpaper through wallpaper-based theme selection. Users can apply standard icon packs and adaptive icon packs, including Google Icons.

On Android 8.0, Rootless Pixel Launcher also provides a choice of icon shapes. The project supports Android users who prefer a Pixel-style experience while needing compatibility with older Android versions. Pixel users can also use the separately provided Magisk version, which is one of the project’s distribution options.
