IPTVnator

IPTVnator is an open-source IPTV player for Linux in the Multimedia category. It brings M3U and M3U8 playlists, Xtream Codes services, and Stalker or Ministra portals into a single interface. The application is intended for people who already have access to IPTV playlists or service credentials and want one tool for viewing that material.

Its interface supports a shared search and favorites system across the supported protocols. A command palette can be used to locate playlists, channels, movies, series, and settings, while the startup view can be configured around the user’s preferred content. IPTVnator includes XMLTV-based electronic program guide support with a multi-channel grid and current-program information. It also supports catch-up, timeshift, and archive playback when those functions are available from the relevant source.

For video playback, the application supports MPV and VLC, with IINA also listed as a supported player. Playback positions can be retained for video-on-demand content and series, and a download manager provides one-click downloads for offline viewing. IPTVnator does not supply playlists, channels, or other digital content, so the available programming depends on the sources added by the user.

MirrorNest distributes the official IPTVnator build directly from its own storage and scans it for malware before publishing. The Linux build fits a download catalog’s Multimedia section as a desktop player rather than a content provider. Its open-source license allows the software to be used as an inspectable alternative for Linux users who need IPTV playback and playlist management.
