Paperless NGX Uploader

Paperless NGX Uploader is an open-source Android application for sending documents to a Paperless-NGX server. It is intended for Paperless-NGX users who want to upload documents from other Android applications through the system Share menu. The app keeps the upload workflow focused on sharing a document and sending it to the configured server. The app uses Android’s native Share Intent integration, with one file handled by each share action. Users can configure the Paperless-NGX server URL, username, and password within the app. Credentials are stored securely and can be recovered automatically when the app starts. A connection test reports whether the connection succeeds, the credentials are invalid, or the host cannot be reached. After a valid connection, the app fetches available tags and provides a searchable tag-selection dialog.

Users can choose default tags for uploads, and those selections are saved and restored when the app starts. A shared document is uploaded with the configured default or selected tags. An upload status indicator shows the progress state, while a failed upload produces a Snackbar notification. After a successful upload, the app returns to the background.
