CalyxOS is developed by the Calyx Institute, a US-based nonprofit focused on privacy and digital rights, and takes a slightly different balance than GrapheneOS: it offers a choice at install time between running with real Google Play Services (sandboxed) or microG (an open-source reimplementation of Google's APIs that apps can talk to without any real Google code or account running on the device at all). It bundles a free VPN by default (via a partnership with the Guardian Project) and Signal-friendly push notification support without requiring Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging. Like GrapheneOS, it only supports Pixel hardware, for the same verified-boot and open-bootloader reasons.
MirrorNest doesn't mirror ROM installation files — flashing a custom ROM is device-specific and carries real risk (an interrupted flash can brick a device), so installation should always go through the project's own official device page and instructions, linked above.
