Artix forked from the older Arch-OpenRC/Manjaro-OpenRC community efforts to offer exactly what its founders felt Arch itself wouldn't: full installation images built around OpenRC, runit, or s6 as the init system instead of systemd, while otherwise staying as close to Arch's package repositories and philosophy as possible. It maintains its own repositories for packages that need init-system-specific handling, while pulling the bulk of its software directly from Arch's own repos, similar in spirit to how Devuan relates to Debian. It's aimed squarely at the segment of the Arch community that specifically wants an alternative to systemd without giving up Arch's rolling-release model and AUR compatibility.

MirrorNest doesn't mirror distro ISOs — installation media should always come straight from the project's own official download page (linked above), so you get the correct checksum/signature to verify against.
