Fedora Jam is one of Fedora's official 'Labs' spins, aimed at musicians and audio producers who want Fedora's RPM package base and rapid, close-to-upstream releases rather than switching to a Debian-based audio distribution like Ubuntu Studio or AV Linux. It pairs a lightweight LXQt desktop (chosen to leave more system resources for audio processing) with pre-installed digital audio workstation and music-production software, configured with real-time-audio-friendly settings out of the box. Being an official Fedora spin, it benefits from the same security-update pipeline and package repositories as every other Fedora edition.
