Nobara is maintained by GloriousEggroll, a developer well known in the Linux gaming community for maintaining a popular custom Proton-GE build used widely for running Windows games. The distribution bakes many of those same gaming-oriented patches, codecs, and driver tweaks directly into a Fedora base, so users get working NVIDIA drivers, proprietary codecs, and gaming-specific kernel patches without the manual post-install configuration a stock Fedora system would need for the same result.
