  1. 1Clone Authelia and check out the latest release

    git clone https://github.com/authelia/authelia.git
    cd authelia
    git checkout $(git describe --tags `git rev-list --tags --max-count=1`)

  2. 2Run the local example bundle

    The 'local' Compose bundle (Authelia + Traefik) is meant for trying Authelia out without configuring your own domain/certs first.

    cd examples/compose/local
    ./setup.sh

    setup.sh edits /etc/hosts with sudo to map the example domains locally.

  3. 3Log in

    Visit https://public.example.com (no auth), https://traefik.example.com (1FA), and https://secure.example.com (2FA) — accept the self-signed cert and register a 2FA device.
