  1. 1Download the official Docker Compose files

    mkdir librenms && cd librenms
    wget https://github.com/librenms/docker/archive/refs/heads/master.zip
    unzip master.zip
    cd docker-master/examples/compose

  2. 2Configure the database password

    Set a new MariaDB/MySQL password in the .env file before starting the stack.

    Edit MARIADB_PASSWORD (or MYSQL_PASSWORD) in .env, then review compose.yml for any other settings you want to change.

  3. 3Start the stack

    sudo docker compose -f compose.yml up -d

  4. 4Finish setup in the browser

    Open the web interface to complete the configuration wizard.

    Browse to http://localhost:8000 (use your server's real IP/hostname instead of localhost).
